Roberts Construction brought a 3-acre Danielson retail pad from rough to finish grade under laser control. Rather than treat storm water as a bolt-on at the end, we designed the drainage into the grade plan starting with the very first cut.

Challenges
An open, operating storefront shared the property line, so we kept dust suppression running through the day, held a clear lane for their customers, and timed our material deliveries for after hours to avoid crowding them. Meanwhile the storm-water plan had to absorb a 25-year storm inside a detention basin with barely enough footprint to fit it.
Outcome
The completed pad landed on spec, DEEP approved the basin on the first review, and the general contractor started the foundation on the exact date we had committed to.
